5 tips for a smooth visa application experience

Dubai/Riyadh: 2022 has been a bumper year for travel, with demand for international stays soaring well beyond the traditional peak seasons we see each year. Since visas are your first step towards foreign travel, here are some tips for a seamless and safe visa application experience before your next vacation.

1. Plan ahead

Early birds can take part in this long-awaited international trip that we have had to postpone for the past two years. But keep in mind that governments are still processing pending requests and new requests. So plan ahead and apply well in advance to avoid any inconvenience.

Did you know?

Most countries accept visa applications up to 90 days before the date of travel. So why wait until the last minute?

2. Check visa processing times

Each country has a different timeline for processing their visa, and these timelines are clearly mentioned on their websites, providing you with the information you need to apply for your visa well in advance.

Did you know?

During peak travel seasons such as year-end holidays, visa processing may take longer than expected. Apply early to avoid any delays.

3. Make an appointment

Most visa application centers accept applications by appointment only. This ensures reduced waiting times and physical distancing in centers at the time of submission. We strongly recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time so as not to miss your slot.

As a reminder, appointment slots are available online. Visit www.vfsglobal.com to find out which countries we service in your area.
