Dubai: Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s global tech ecosystem, has been selected by the Abu Dhabi Residents’ Office, a division of the Ministry of Economic Development (ADDED), to support outstanding tech talent for their Gold Visa entrepreneur from Abu Dhabi.

Hub71 will review, assess and issue Entrepreneurial Talent Approval Letters for the Entrepreneur Gold Visa based on the requirements set by ADDED and the Federal Identity and Citizenship Authority (ICA). Once entrepreneurs obtain an approval letter from Hub71, ADRO and the ICA will handle requests for final visa approval and issuance of the entrepreneur gold visa.

“Being one of the key UAE organizations to assess and approve talented technology professionals for the Golden Visa Entrepreneur is further recognition of our credibility as a leading technology ecosystem at the cutting edge of entrepreneurship stimulation, ”said Ibrahim Ajami, Interim CEO Hub71 and Head of Business and Growth at Mubadala Investment Company.

The Entrepreneur Golden Visa is valid for five years and enables entrepreneurs who are foreign nationals and residents of the United Arab Emirates to make the United Arab Emirates their long-term home to create and evolve innovative technologies and solutions. In addition to entrepreneurs, their spouses, children and up to three of the entrepreneur’s executive directors could also be covered by the visa, allowing them to live, work and study in a dynamic market without the need for a national sponsor. .

Hub71 will consider applications from entrepreneurs operating in a wide range of technology industries, including FinTech, HealthTech, EdTech, E-commerce, AI and big data.

Entrepreneur Gold Visa Eligibility

To be eligible, entrepreneurs must have a successful project in the United Arab Emirates with a minimum value of Dh500,000. Projects should also address defined economic sectors – information and telecommunications technology, financial services, health, medical and pharmaceutical industries, tourism, agriculture and food and agricultural manufacturing, aviation and defense, petrochemicals, industry and education. For entrepreneurs with projects focused on other sectors, Hub71 has the authority to approve their application as an ADDED accredited organization.
