Join us for Badger Day April 6-7

We ask faculty, staff and alumni to help us build excitement for Badger Day April 6-7 by wearing red, sharing your stories with friends and on social media, and doing a donation to support the School of Education.

Badger Day is a day (and more) of giving in support of UW-Madison. The School of Education could use your help to build enthusiasm and support students, faculty and staff with your donations.

If you like selfies, we encourage you to share a photo. You can also take a screenshot of a virtual classroom or take a photo on campus or in your home workplace. Use #DayoftheBadger and please identify school accounts on all platforms. (@UWMadisonEducation on Facebook; UWMadEducation on Twitter; and @UWSoE on Instagram).

When we reach 100 donations, generous alumnus Nancy Coan (1981) will give us $ 10,000. Gifts of any size will help us achieve our goal and support students, faculty, and staff.

Plus, for every share, comment, or tag on social media, we’ll get $ 1 – up to $ 5,000. Using your social media platform to share with friends and colleagues will help the School whether you give it a gift or not.

When we had to switch to online courses and then implement hybrid courses in the fall of 2020, donor support was instrumental in the success of these efforts. Gift funds have supported Technology Innovation Grants that have helped instructors create meaningful and engaging courses on these new platforms. Likewise, we were also able to assist over 800 students through the Bridge to Success Emergency Bursary Program and provided Wi-Fi hotspots and laptops to students who needed upgrades. technological level to participate in their online courses.
