KUWAIT CITY, September 20: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines and VFS Global, the world’s leading specialist in visa outsourcing and technology services for governments and diplomatic missions around the world, have signed a contract for the establishment of the first Philippine electronic passport renewal center in the State of Kuwait. The center has started accepting passport renewal applications by appointment Sunday through Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This is the first time that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines has outsourced its passport renewal process in the State of Kuwait. Prior to that, Filipino nationals residing in Kuwait had to go to the Philippine Embassy to renew their passport. With the opening of the new ePassport Renewal Center, customers have yet another way to complete the process.
At the launch of the new center, Mohd Noordin Pendosina N Lomondot, Ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, said: âThe launch of the first ever ePassport Renewal Center in Kuwait marks an important milestone for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines. Going forward, all Philippine ePassport holders can now conveniently submit their renewal application at the newly launched center. â Courier services: Delivery of the renewed passport directly at the time and place of your choice.
â SMS Alerts: Regular alerts to stay abreast of application progress To ensure a safe environment for employees and customers, VFS Global has established standardized protective measures to be followed in centers, including specific mandates for social distancing and sanitation.
All guests are subject to body temperature checks upon entry to assess their health. Any client with symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, cough and difficulty breathing, will not be allowed to enter the center and will be asked to return once health improves. In addition, all VFS Global customers and employees are required to wear a face mask in the center.
