Saudi Arabia welcomes Hayya card holders with 60-day visas during World Cup season

Riyadh — The Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia will welcome all FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 fans who are Hayya card holders to spend up to 60 days in the kingdom during the football season. World Cup, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The World Cup is scheduled to be held in Qatar in November and December 2022.

The ministry said in a statement, carried by the Saudi Press Agency, that it would accept the application for a visa to enter the Kingdom under the following terms and conditions.

1- Hayya card holders will be allowed to enter the Kingdom 10 days before the start of the World Cup after obtaining an e-visa through the National Unified Visa Platform. The Ministry will later announce the visa application filing procedure and the mechanism for obtaining the visa.

2- The holders of the entry visa can reside in the Kingdom for a period of 60 days.

3- Visa holders have the right to enter and leave the Kingdom several times during the validity period of the visa.

4- It is not necessary to have a pre-entry into the State of Qatar before arriving in the Kingdom.

5- Medical insurance must be obtained before coming to the Kingdom.

The Hayya Card is a digital card that serves as a universal permit for participants of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. After purchasing World Cup tickets, fans must apply for a Hayya Card, which will be mandatory for attend matches. It offers a number of benefits, including free public transport for ticket holders on match days.

It will also serve as an entry permit to Qatar for all international visitors if they visit during the World Cup season between November 1, 2022 and January 23, 2023.
