Visa and merge football and NFTs for fan experience ahead of 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar

Visa, FIFA’s exclusive payment services partner, today unveiled Visa Masters of Movement, a first-of-its-kind hybrid experience featuring a pre-event NFT auction and an immersive fan activation during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Later this month, the Visa Masters of Movement experience will come to life on an interactive pitch at the FIFA Fan Festival in Doha, Qatar, and allow fans to create digital art inspired by their iconic moves.

Eligible fans will have the opportunity to create their own digital art in partnership with, the official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 cryptocurrency trading platform.

From today (12:00 GMT) until November 8 (21:00 GMT), football fans can bid on the Visa Masters of Movement NFTs on

The auction brings together five unique works of art inspired by the iconic FIFA World Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup goals of legendary footballers: Jared Borgetti, Tim Cahill, Carli Lloyd, Michael Owen and Maxi Rodriguez, engraved in the NFTs.

The digital artwork was crafted using an algorithm from award-winning XK studios that transformed iconic movements into dynamic works of art.

A unique collectible, fans with the highest bid for each NFT at auction close will receive the NFT in their wallet along with a high-quality printable art file and signed player memorabilia legendary featured in the NFT.

Visa will award all auction proceeds to united street kida charity incorporated and operating in the UK, whose mission is to tackle the widespread stigma faced by street children around the world.

Fans become artists at the FIFA Fan Festival™

At the center of the FIFA Fan Festival in Doha (November 19 – December 18), Visa invites thousands of fans to create their legendary moves in the independent Visa Masters of Movement space.

Fans step onto a digital LED pitch equipped with tracking technology to capture and turn their iconic moves into digital art.

In addition to shooting a goal or showing off their skills while playing with other fans to create custom dynamic artwork, fans will choose the color palette based on their favorite national colors.

The digital art will be emailed as a keepsake, and eligible fans can also choose to receive the minted digital art as a one-of-a-kind NFT.

Throughout the immersive Visa Masters of Movement experience, fans can learn about new ways Visa enables the movement of money around the world, including emerging technologies like crypto and other digital solutions that offer more people access to the global economy.
